About this MCC church: We are an inclusive and diverse church for all people. We affirm the dignity and worth of every person created in the image of God. We welcome into full participation persons of every race, language, national origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, physical or mental ability, economic or marital status, and faith background.
The vision of our faith community is that we will become so infused with the love of God in all our relationships that we will communicate to our world the truth that “God Loves You . . . Period.”
In our worship God will be named in a variety of ways that are gender neutral. This helps us to create a space where all of us can approach the Holy in ways that are personal and meaningful.
We’re a church that believes in feeding people’s bodies is as important as feeding people’s spirits and minds. For years First Metropolitan Community Church of Wichita Kansas (First MCC) has been feeding people at our Fishes and Loaves Food Pantry. It’s become such a part of our ministry that in 2015 we changed our name to Table of Hope. Whether you participate in the Food Pantry each Tuesday or Worship with us on Sunday mornings, whether you believe in God or not; whether you’re gay, straight, single, married; black, white, blue, orange, yellow . . . everyone is welcome at the Table of Hope.
