About this MCC church: Welcome to “Beacon of Hope” Christ Chapel Metropolitan Community Church (MCC), an “open and affirming,” progressive Christian church and community, lifting the name of Jesus Christ since 1970. We are proud to be Orange County’s first and longest-serving church whose roots are in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, and intersex communities.
Our worship services include traditional as well as unique and creative modern elements, with something to please everyone, no matter what your background. We preach a relevant, vibrant, Spirit-filled, and scripturally based message that beautifully celebrates and merges our spirituality and our sexuality, promoting the teaching that God loves us and created us just as we are.
